Is there parking at the graveyard?

Yes there is a small parking area inside the graveyard. When you see the signpost with the blue and brown signs for Kilranelagh graveyard and St. Bridget’s Well, drive up the lane and go through the gate at the top, there is a small parking area in the graveyard.

Can I arrange a booking for a specific date not advertised?

The tours are on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but if you can only attend on another date, please contact the organizer to see if a tour for the date you are looking for can be arranged.

How fit do I need to be for the walk?

A moderate level of fitness is required. The full hillwalk is around 6km with a few small sections of steep gradient and uneven ground. It will be an easy pace with stops along the way to hear the stories associated with the sites.

I have a walking disability, will this walk be suitable for me?

This is a hill walk with some steep areas and uneven ground, but those with limited walking abilities may still be able to attend at a slower place. If you have limited walking mobility or feel you may slow the group down, please contact the organizer as a private tour may be more suitable for you.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes advance booking is essential to ensure a place on the tour.

I would like to book for only one person, but the booking form won’t allow me.

The setting for bookings is for a two person minimum, but if you would like to book for just one person, please contact the organizer and this can be arranged.
